Today’s exercises.

Expressions to describe human actions. Which is the correct word.

1.He waved/punched/beckoned hello as we walked past him.

2.She scratched/stroked her knee,where the wasp had stung her.

3. The boy was told to cross/fold/rub his legs and cross/tap/fold his arms by the sports teacher.

4. Please use a tissue to wipe/rub/scratch your nose.

5. Please do not shake/rub/scratch the champagne it will be too bubbly.

6.The shook/rubbed/groped with fear as the policeman came towards him.
