  1. To fall short of  – to not reach or not be good enough
  2. To fall through – to be cancelled or not happen
  3. To fall apart  – to break, or a person can collapse of fall apart
  4. To fall for – to believe something, or fall in love with someone.
  5. To fall back on – to use something you had saved from before e.g. to fall back on an old skill.
  6. To fall into place – to start to understand

Write a full sentence to answer these questions using the words in brackets() and for or since.

  2. How long have you lived here? (four years)
  3. How long  has the lock been broken? ( last Saturday)
  4. How long is the strike? ( two days)
  5. How long have you been studying English ?( a year)
